Old Students Association

OSA, Govt. College Dharamshala

The Old Students Association brings together alumni across generations to support the college, strengthen community ties, and preserve institutional memory.

The Place

Dharamshala is a Himalayan hill town surrounded by cedar forests and the Dhauladhar range, with a distinctive cultural and spiritual identity.

The College

Govt. College Dharamshala traces its origins to 1912, became an intermediate college in 1926, and remains one of the oldest institutions in the region.

The Association

OSA was established in 1990 and registered as an NGO in the same year. It operates from the College Library Block and has grown to more than 1800 life members.

The Legacy

The college has produced jurists, soldiers, writers, scientists, administrators, political leaders, surgeons, and artists.

OSA exists to bridge present students and alumni, build a lifelong relationship with the institution, and strengthen Govt. College Dharamshala through networking, mentoring, knowledge sharing, student support, and preservation of institutional legacy.
