About OSA

An alumni body shaped by long-term institutional engagement

The Old Students Association of Govt. College Dharamshala was established in 1990 and registered as a non-governmental organization in the same year. With its office in the College Library Block and more than 1800 life members, OSA has grown into a strong and active alumni community.

OSA was founded to bridge the gap between present students and alumni, creating a lifelong relationship that benefits both individuals and the institution. Its work spans alumni networking, mentorship, scholarships, institutional support, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, career guidance, social and cultural engagement, philanthropy, and preservation of the college's legacy.

The association also plays an active role in strengthening the college ecosystem through faculty involvement, support for the library, the Legacy Awards, and landmark contributions such as the 1200-seat auditorium completed in 2004.
