A new OSA-led mentoring initiative for students
The OSA Student Support & Mentoring Committee launched a new Student Support & Mentoring Initiative as part of its broader effort to connect alumni experience with student development.
The initiative is being guided under the leadership of Dr. N.N. Sharma, OSA Convenor, and Dr. Parvesh Gill, HOD, Department of Commerce, Government College Dharamshala.
First Expert Lecture
The journey began with a focused session for BBA students
The first expert lecture was held on 28 September 2025 at 12:00 PM for BBA students in the School of Business, Government College Dharamshala.
The session topic was Financial Markets and Risk Management, giving students exposure to a practical area of business and finance with real-world relevance.
Resource Person
An alumnus with professional and institutional connection
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Abhinav Aggarwal, Banker, Financial Analyst, and a proud former Executive Committee member of OSA.
His presence brought both professional insight and alumni connection into the classroom, reinforcing the purpose of the initiative.
Centenary Context
A meaningful academic step within the centenary year
The initiative reflects the spirit of the centenary celebrations by turning alumni participation into practical institutional support for students.
It also marks an important shift from symbolic celebration to direct student benefit through guidance, mentoring, and academic engagement.
