Announcement
A centenary mentoring initiative for chemistry students
The OSA Student Support & Mentoring Committee announced its second expert lecture under the leadership of Dr. N.N. Sharma and Dr. Parvesh Gill. The programme was scheduled for 29 October 2025 at 12:30 PM in the Department of Chemistry for final-year chemistry students.
The lecture topic, "Shaping Up a Career with Chemistry," was designed to bring practical direction to students preparing to move from the classroom into professional life.
Session Outcome
A successful lecture with strong student participation
The committee successfully conducted the lecture, and the session drew enthusiastic participation from more than 60 students. The interaction gave students practical insight into employment opportunities connected with chemistry and reinforced the value of focused mentoring at the final stage of undergraduate study.
Dr. Sushma Gandhi was thanked for generously sharing her time and expertise. Her lecture was noted for being engaging, encouraging, and directly relevant to students thinking seriously about their future careers.
Acknowledgement
Gratitude to faculty, leadership, and OSA support
Special appreciation was extended to Principal Prof. Rakesh Pathania and to the faculty members Dr. Vikram Shree Vats, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Brogi, Dr. Sarita Sharma, and Dr. Govind Singh for their presence and support in making the event successful.
